Mercy Come Morning Book Review

Mercy Come Morning was a great read! I oversee a wing of 14 residents with Alzheimer's Disease and dementia on a daily basis, so Charlotte's condition was close to my heart!

This story was very well written and captured my attention from the very beginning. Lisa Tawn Bergren does a great job of introducing the different characters and bringing them to life. The book had a little of it all, to me. There is love story that grows as the core of the story, there is mystery in the notes and letters that Krista reads that belong to Charlotte. There is family drama as the story of Krista's life growing up with her mother unfolds. I felt like the book didn't leave any open ended questions. The ending was fairly dramatic, but not too far-fetched. The only negative that I have for the book was that, at times, I felt my attention drifting some as the author went into a little TOO much detail concerning the geographical descriptions. She did make my mental picture of Taos, NM a beautiful one, just too lengthy at times.

If you are looking for heart-warming, uplifting story about forgiveness and love, this is the book for you! Very glad I chose this book!

I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.
